Kayaking is the best way to experience and to see the beautiful Coorong waterways and arrive in the Great Southern Ocean. This kayak tour wil introduce you to this remarkable place. While you cross the Coorong in a kayak, arriving at the dunes where you will be given a guided tour of the native vegetation, bush food and learning the history of the Ngarrindjeri people and how they lived. Then you will finally arrive on a sandy beach facing the Great Southern Ocean where the roar of the waves will astound you. Here you will experience and perform the 'cockle dance' (collecting fresh cockles).
